Taste the MoFo Rainbow

Ahhh, Skittles. Back in the early days of my veganism, I used to get imported vegan Skittles from Israel. Now, they make them without gelatin (OR gluten) here in the states! I picked these up along with some Special Import Pepsi (also known as the one with real sugar that is made in Mexico), a Chick-o-Stick, and some potato chips for office snacking. I loves my junk! Below the jump, what I did to make amends for my crazy snacking. Continue reading

MoFo Taco Monday

20111005-095406.jpg

We’ve been celebrating Taco Monday in our house for a couple of years now. Some weeks we forget, and some weeks we make bean dip instead of tacos, but all in all we love us a good refried bean delivery system. Continue reading

Vegan MoFo Snuck Up On Me

Luckily, we’re always vegan and we always eat. And, being vegan eaters, we almost always take pictures of our food. We’re special like that. The Vegan Month of Food is made for people like us. Behind the jump, some of the food we’ve been eating at the start of Vegan MoFo! Continue reading

The Borders Post

I’ve been swimming in memories of my time at Borders ever since it was announced that the business had finally failed last week. It’s been 10 years since I worked for Borders. I told my husband that I had already said everything I had to say about Borders and their business choices and my experiences there. That I was over it. Had been for a long time. And, that’s true. Tattooed Rings

My husband and I got wedding ring tattoos earlier this year! We’ve been married awhile, but were considering replacing our physical rings with something more permanent. Our friends Shiva and Atom were planning to get some ink, so we took advantage of the serendipitous situation. Continue reading

Juliana’s Pillarbox Red Scrunchie of Power

Lately I find myself lost in thought about the things I loved best about becoming an adult in the nineties. I’m going to go ahead an ascribe this to all the nineties fashion resurgence and not at all to the fact that my own babies are entering adolescence, mkay? Much more fun for everyone that way. Continue reading

Always Carry a Sharpie

I don’t know exactly when I started carrying a Sharpie around with me. I think it was sometime after I published my book, as I signed all the copies I sent out. It wasn’t until recently, though, that I realized how much I used the Sharpie in my purse and that made me I want to share this idea with you all. Continue reading
